Comments: I saw you on Sunday night at the Green Parrot in Key West. I had so much fun listening to your gig. I have heard some amazing "Blues" and yours ranks up there among the very best. I hope that I will be lucky enough to see and hear you again. You are soooo cool!
C'est si bon!
I hope that I can watch you play closer to Montreal or even perhaps in Montreal. At the end of June Montreal is host to one of the largest Jazz & Blues festivals in the world. The greats have all been here. Pat Matheney, BB King, Diana Krall, Chris Botti, Stevie Wonder, COCO Montoyo, Brian Setzer, Michael Hills etc. We would love to have you here....I believe that you would be a huge hit! The festival runs for 10 - 11 days and is in a huge section of our city called the "Quartier des Spectacles" or Show Quarter. There are several stages set up in this quadrant of the city including a special Blues Stage. All the concerts are free and the promoters such as Beer and Bell Canada, GM pay the bands. There are also paid concerts in different venues
such as our Arts and Performance Center: Place Des Arts. Please google it for more info...and get you agent to book you for this coming summer. The festival is all about all sorts of music from all around the world and not just about Jazz. You will also enjoy a city that has an amazing cultural background being one of the oldest settlements in North America! There are so many good restaurants here compared to anywhere else however the difference is there are a lot of really affordable ones here. Accommodations can be found with very reasonable rates and I believe that guest musicians have even special rates too.

Comments: Sauce Boss!
Just stumbled upon you while doing some internet research for our upcoming trip to Key West. When I got to your blog (after checking out the Green Parrot calendar of entertainment), the most recent entry was about your heart attack. Glad to hear you are doing well and will be back at it since we will be in Key West and were hoping to catch you at your scheduled appearance at the Green Parrot.
Further research revealed that you are indeed referenced in Buffet's "I Will Play for Gumbo" which curiously, I just heard for the first time at Buffet's Cincinnati concert this summer. That song caused me to spontaneously explode into the most uncontrollably frenzied dance that had onlookers enraptured and myself utterly surprised that I was moving and shaking in ways I never had before (I was, after all in particularly good shape after that boot camp I attended).
And so, as it turns out, all things in the cosmos have mysteriously and perfectly aligned to allow me to be in Key West at the same time as the "Sauce Boss".
I am full of anticipation to see you playin and a swayin with the gumbo (not to mention the EATING of the gumbo).
Joan Wilder and Jack T. Colton
(Romancing the Stone) or is it Romancing the Gumbo?
Louisville, Ky
(not our real names for reasons we will explain later)
P.S. Have you ever been to the Kentucky Derby? I sense that there is a place for your show here during our Derby Festival.
